I am an unworthy servant of Jesus Christ and an elder at a tiny Reformed Baptist Church that holds to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith as an accurate summary and exposition of the great doctrines of the Christian Faith as revealed by God in His Holy Scriptures.
My life and the journey it took to get to this point in it are not of consequence, other than to say that which man (including, and perhaps primarily, myself) intended for evil, God intended for good. Not being a great adherent or proponent of the popular “personal testimonies” of the current state of evangelicalism, I tend to share that which is from Scripture more than anything regarding that past life of mine which God used to get me to this point.
Some people think I know theology, and by God’s grace and provision, I do know some, but there are so many others whom God has used to bless me to know that which He placed within His Scriptures, that I might in turn bless others, is a truth that remains. I had some theological training years ago, but the greater part of that which I have learned since has come through personal study and the reading of books about doctrine by these others who are all more greatly used of God than I am. One of the truths of Scripture is thus set forth: “and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also,” (2 Timothy 2:2) and God has seen fit to use me to pass on that which has been, and continuously is, being passed on to me by such faithful men.
By means of this blog, I hope to share articles on various topics and doctrines of “the faith once for all delivered to the saints” that are profitable to any who may read this blog.
Anything I do that is good, is only because God is the only One who is truly good, and wills to work that of His goodness in and through me which I would otherwise be completely unable to express or live out in any manner. I fail often, but His grace is sufficient in all things.
